AMP Insights staff have supported the Walker Basin Restoration Program since 2010. Under Public Law 111-85, the Walker Basin Restoration Program (WBRP) is charged with restoring and maintaining Walker Lake, as well as protecting agricultural, environmental, and habitat interests consistent with that primary purpose. Funded to a total of $264 million, the program seeks to restore water to Walker Lake, a terminus basin watered from the Sierras, through permanent water rights acquisition. AMP Insights has played a key role in the development and implementation of the program.
