This collaborative project with the Pacific Institute was done to socialize a simple cost-effectiveness metric, the Levelized Cost of Water, for companies to use along with other considerations when choosing which projects to fund in their Corporate Water Stewardship programs.
The Business Case for Investing in Water in Oregon
In 2023, AMP Insights was contracted by the Oregon Water Resources Department to articulate the business case for investing in water in Oregon. The purpose of the report is to provide a basis for legislative and other investments in water and related issues now and into the future.
Water in the Economy: Rio Grande/Río Bravo
AMP Insights conducted a basin-wide analysis of the Rio Grande/Río Bravo to assess the value of water in the economy. This was accomplished through an in-depth policy analysis, as well as a time-series analysis of demographic, land use, water use and economic changes in this water scarce and urbanizing basin.
Cost-Effectiveness of Environmental Water Transactions
This project began with funding from the Pisces Foundation to develop metrics for assessing cost-effectiveness of environmental water transactions in an effort to create standards and protocols for adoption as part of the California Water Bond process and by other regional transaction efforts.
